RAS vehicles must first be collected. Next these vehicles must be " de-polluted " of any fluid content (engine and other oils, brakes fluid, cooling liquid, windscreen washer liquid, petrol), and battery removal. These various items must then be sent to specialist recycling centres. Only then can the vehicles be subject to their disassembling process.

Re-usable parts are checked, dismantled then stored. Finally, vehicle bodies are sent to specialist sites where they are crushed and recycled.

All vehicle details are recorded and filed for future traceability.
